Ataur Rahman Bikrampuri has been arrested.
The information was confirmed by Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations wing) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman today (24 December).
Talebur said the Detective Branch had arrested Ataur from Narsigndi, adding there was a three-month detention order regarding him.
The arrest came at the request of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police, to which he has been handed, according to a Prothom Alo report.
Ataur was arrested yesterday.
