Telenor Group CEO Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today (13 April) to discuss telecommunications investment and digital infrastructure development in Bangladesh.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Division office at the Bangladesh Secretariat this morning, Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman said.
According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, the two sides exchanged views on expanding telecom investment and strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure to support future growth.
Benedicte Schilbred Fasmer, who took over as president and CEO of Norway-based telecom company Telenor Group in December 2024, is on a visit to Bangladesh as part of efforts to enhance the company’s engagement in the region.
