Which leaders from other political parties joined Tarique’s reception?

Leaders and activists of other political parties attended the programme marking BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman’s homecoming next to the July 36 Expressway today (25 December).

Tarique exchanged handshakes and greetings with the leaders of these parties before taking his seat.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir welcomed Tarique Rahman on the stage.

Several political leaders joined Tarique Rahman’s homecoming reception, marking a significant show of unity. On stage, Tarique first exchanged greetings with Nurul Haq Nur, president of Gono Odhikar Parishad.

He later met with Subrata Chowdhury, acting president of Gono Forum; Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of Gonosonghoti Andolon; Saiful Haque, general secretary of the Revolutionary Workers Party; Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, president of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BJP; Bobby Hajjaj, chairman of the National Democratic Movement (NDM); Maulana Manzurul Islam Afendi, secretary general of one faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh; Golam Mohiuddin Ikram, secretary general of another faction of the same party; and Md Tarique Rahman, general secretary of Amjontar Dal, among others.

During his speech, the BNP acting chairman said, “The time has come for all of us to build the country together. We want to create a safe Bangladesh, where every woman, man, and child can leave home safely and return safely.”
