72 arrested so far over Monday’s vandalism; 10 cases filed


Authorities have arrested at least 72 individuals across multiple districts in Bangladesh following vandalism incidents during demonstrations held in solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza.

The Chief Advisor’s press wing confirmed the arrests in a Facebook post, stating that investigations are ongoing and additional cases are expected to be filed against those involved.

Police Headquarters reported that arrests were made in various regions, including Khulna, Sylhet, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Gazipur, Narayanganj, and Cumilla. The incidents saw groups of individuals vandalizing and looting shops, restaurants, and other establishments.

This unrest has sparked widespread concern, and authorities have pledged to bring the perpetrators to justice while maintaining peace and order in affected areas.
