Five members of a family have been found dead with their throats slit inside a house in Gazipur’s Kapasia.
The bodies were recovered on Saturday morning from Rautkona village, Kapasia Police chief Md Shahinur Alam said.
He told bdnews24.com that the head of the household has been missing since the incident came to light.
Police suspect the killings may have stemmed from a family dispute.
The victims include the wife of the head of the household, their three minor daughters, and his brother-in-law.
Officer Shahinur said the killings took place at some point during Friday night.
“Early on Saturday, the absconding husband informed relatives of the killings over mobile phone,” he added.
