India: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Rahman on his decisive win, pledging India’s continued support for a democratic and progressive Bangladesh.
Malaysia: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim hailed the BNP’s victory as “a triumph of democracy,” praising the resilience of the Bangladeshi people and expressing eagerness to deepen bilateral cooperation.
Pakistan: Leaders including Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended congratulations, signaling readiness to strengthen ties with Rahman’s government.
West Bengal, India: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sent a personal message, referring to Rahman as “Tarique-Bhai” and wishing for cordial relations between India and Bangladesh.

In a separate message, the United States Embassy in Dhaka congratulated Bangladesh on successfully conducting the election and extended warm wishes to Tarique Rahman and the BNP.
